Historical trip to Fort of Breendonk

End Augustus 1944, Antwerp got liberated by the allies. The Germans had to flee away.
Till that time they occupied a fort that they used as a prisoner camp, later an "interrogation camp" and pass through location to put people on transport towards other camps of which only a few would return.
Those who stayed in Breendonk were risking their lifes too. How many died here is not for certain, but it must be many.

The pictures of the album so far are from my trip early this year in March ( http://public.fotki.com/Irisbe/belgium-1/visitors/leroy_visiting_in_2004/visit_to_breendonk/ ). The ones I took from the people joining today will be posted later on. Give me a week or so :)
